Automad requires proper email configuration on your server to send transactional emails using PHP. These emails are sent for user invitations, password resets, and when using the mail block on a page.
Email delivery configuration depends on your hosting environment. By default, Automad uses sendmail, which is the recommended option for shared hosting and typically works without additional configuration.
If you're running your own server where sendmail isn't properly configured, you can configure Automad to use SMTP directly by providing your SMTP server details.
